Charity Bazaar the Consecration Calligraphy and Painting
It was lucky that painting and calligraphy association worked with Buddha religion to support charity by raising the money. Calligraphy and painting works that were blessed by the Buddha were welcomed by calligraphy lovers, collecting 150000 yuan a day.
Morning Paper (by Lei Shu) In the first of New Year, Xiamen buddhist monks gathered in Nan Pu Tuo temple Ursa major to bless for the New Year and for the sale of the calligraphy and painting works for consecration ceremony. Calligraphy and painting works that were blessed by the Buddha were welcomed by calligraphy lovers, collecting 150000 yuan a day.
Yesterday, "2014 Xiamen Buddhist calligraphy&painting charity sale was held in Nan Pu Tuo temple, hosted by Xiamen Buddhist Association, Xiamen Calligrapher's Association and Haixi Morning (weibo), unertook by Nan Pu Tuo temple, Fujian and Taiwan Academy. Activities would continue until January 3, and people could participate in the sale.
According to organizers, there were many famous monks and painters participating the charity sale raising nearly 200 painting and calligraphy works, and some of them contributed their calligraphy, like Ze Wu Monk, Cheng Xin Monk, Liao Fa Master, Liu Duilai, Lin Cen, Xie Rongren.
In addition, there would be Calligrapher Association members’ site creation, which attracted many calligraphy lovers. It is understood that except charity subscribe way, people also can donate a certain amount of money for a piece of calligraphy and painting with invoice. The sale of all donations would be used in Xiamen community poverty alleviation charity in 2014.
